Google closes its 9 online projects

Larry Page, Chief Executive of Google has announced to close its 9 projects online including Aardvark.Aardvark was Google’s side company which was built for the social search sites.

Alan Eustace, the senior vice president of Google in  his blog post comments “Technology improves,people need change, some best pay off and others don’t.”  The projects will soon be  given new positions at Google.The change will improve the overall image of Google.

Some of the projects that  has to be shutdown are-

1)Aardvark-  Established in 2010, was a new kind of social search where people answer questions about each other.

2)Desktop- With the entry of cloud computing people are interested in accessing their data at one quick instance.Google desktop was made for this purposes  only but now it will be closed from 19th of September along with its all services and plug-ins.

3)Fast Flip- It was started for news and reading experiences for web and as well as mobile devices.

4)Google Pack- The demand for downloadable software decrease for the past few months therefore Google will now provide direct links on Google pack websites.

5)Notebook-It helps people to add URLs from the web notes from the documents so as to publish them.The whole data from the notebook will be transferred to Google docs.

6)Sidewiki- Sidewiki will also be closed and its authors will  be given details about its closure  and be also given appropriate time to download their contents.

The Co-founder and CEO of Google recently explained the moves made b Google in  the statement “More woods behind fewer arrows.” Google also closes “Slide” last month made for applications such as MySpace, Facebook and Apple’s iOS.
