The world’s largest cable operator Comcast has been fined a big amount on charges of discriminating against the channels and violating the FCC rules. The complaint was filed in 2010 against this network as it telecasts its own sports channels namely Versus and Golf channel instead of  Tennis channels.

Tennis channel complaint to the Federal communication Commission who took the decision in their side and asked Comcast network to pay a fine of $375000 and gave strict orders to give the same weightage to all the channels as it gives to its own channel else strong actions would be taken against the network.

“Tennis channels are to be treated in the same way as Golf channels and Versus channel are treated there is no difference between any sports channel”  said FCC administrative judge Richard Sippel on Tuesday.

There has been a continuous disputes between many sports channels and the rising disputes can give a rise to sports cost as those people who are not interested in sports can ask their cable operators to cut off their subscription making the operators shifting the sports channels in a lower preference place which will cost them extra.
