The Space Shuttle Atlantis was landed back to earth with 4 astronauts at 5:57 a.m at Florida’s Kennedy Space Center on Thursday. This was the Atlantis last mission now it will be kept in a Museum. Atlantis first launch was on 3 October 1985 with the mission to deploy satellites into stationary orbit.
“I saw grown men and grown women crying today,Tears of joy, to be sure … human emotions came out on the runway today. You couldn’t suppress them.” said Mike Leinbach, space shuttle launch director.
Nasa’s Space Shuttle Atlantis last launch was on 8 July 2011 with carrying 3.5 tonnes of essential supplies to International Space Station.
